It's Fundraising Time Again!

This time last year Pete was just coming home from the hospital and very wobbly. He was determined to raise money and we raised a record amount last year from generous friends. He was moved.

On the night of the walk, it rained terribly. I thought about going home, but Pete was determined that we get through this. We carried an umbrella, but when it started to pour we looked at each other and said that with all we've been through we were going to enjoy the rain. We never opened the umbrella and held each other from the start to the finish. What a great feeling.

This year Pete is as close to normal health as he's ever going to get. Our oncologist just retired and today we'll be meeting our new oncologist. It's a scary to put your trust in someone you don't know, but hopefully it will be some time before we need to cross that bridge.

It's almost a month until this year's Light The Night Walk. October 10, 2007 here in Roanoke.

Please consider a donation. You can donate online at Peter's fundraising page.
